Yeah, we got pretty embarrassed too. That's why in 2008 Park Place Gifts said "Goodbye China" and "Hello Kansas City!" We pulled out 1000's of imports, to make our store ALL LOCAL.
When I say local, I don't mean "Midwest" I mean putting dollars and cents back into the community we live in. Supporting Local Art was a calling for us here at Park Place Gifts... The owners have supported local schools in the community since it opened. With one having a background in Theatre and fine arts and the other having extensive business and retail experience it was a perfect idea, at a perfect time to start supporting the artists and crafters in the community as well.
